Hamworthy Heating, commercial boiler and water heating specialist, is launching its new floor standing modular boiler range, the Upton. It’s the manufacturer’s highest output, smallest footprint boiler, delivering 1MW while taking up less than 1m² floor space. Years of research have gone into the development of the aluminium heat exchanger to provide even heat distribution and optimum efficiency. The 6-bar rated boiler has been developed with customer’s feedback in mind: Water and gas connections are in the same position across the range, regardless of output. This means that even if a project’s requirements change, models can be easily swapped with minimal effect to pipework and plant room design.
The Upton’s pre-mix burner enables further fuel-savings and environmentally-friendly ultra-low NOx emissions of <40mg/kWh (BREEAM Rating Excellent). With less than 60dBA noise output, it also makes a good choice for plantrooms adjoining quiet areas such as hospitals, offices and classrooms.
Optional pipework kits for heating systems up to 4.2MW offer connection points for pressurisation units and flushing points. Lastly, an optionally available low loss header specifically designed for the Upton can provide further benefits in terms of system water flow, cleanliness, circuit separation and performance.
