The Future of Modular Services course has a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes and looks at the timeline of prefabricated wiring from the early adopters in the beginning, through current time and cutting edge designs to second generation systems and the reasons for their evolution. It also covers the considerations and benefits of utilising faster, safer, smarter, more reliable methods of installations and the reasons to reduce time, cost and programme.

A review of the new Standards IEC61535 covering the new legislation for modular services is covered in addition to associated Standards.  It also examines the assessment of good practise and reasons to understand the benefits which are important to the end client, consulting engineer as well as main and sub-contractors.

The Retail workshop entitled ‘The future of modular electrical installation systems in Retail applications’ is an hour in length and reviews modular wiring solutions and their relevance to this particular sector in addition to the hospitality industry.

This course discusses the considerations and relevance of modular wiring to smarter buildings and the reduction in cost and time of new build and refits.  It will also cover the Standard IEC61535 as well as the new legislation for modular services (installation couplers intended for permanent connection in fixed installations).  It reviews the assessment of good practice and reasons to understand the benefits that are important to the end client, consulting engineer and electrical contractor.
