GET, a Schneider Electric company, has added a robust and practical Photocell to their range of energy saving lights and light fittings. Ideal for commercial or light industrial premises, the unit can be connected to most existing lighting circuits to provide automatic dusk to dawn coverage of property without the need for expensive or extensive rewiring.
In an effort to reduce impact on the environment, Building Regulations Part L requires new lighting installations to incorporate some low energy lighting. GET already offer a wide range of energy efficient systems for interior use, but the new Photocell is perfect for exterior lighting.
The Photocell unit is either available as a kit or replacement head option which simply fits into the bracket using a bayonet fitting. The kit includes the photocell head, mounting bracket and fixings, suitable for post or wall mounting. Controlled by photodiode sensors and electromagnetic relays, the system is rated up to 500 watts, weather protected to IP65, is preset to a lux level of 70/105 lux and conforms to BS 5972.
