Wiring accessories specialist, The Wandsworth Group, has launched an innovative range of data and media outlets for its Series Two range, enabling custom specification of almost any data, media and small power combination.
Providing a neat and cohesive solution to the specification of wall mounted data and media outlets for any home, office or hospitality setting, the new outlets have been designed to extend the popular range of sockets and switches already offered within Wandsworth’s stylish Series Two Range. Specifiers can choose between opting for single plate outlets or combined multi-plates: only the possibility of data signal interference or segregation of low voltage from extra low voltage and data limits the number of options.
In all, 15 types of outlets are included in the range: for data outlets this includes both shielded and unshielded Cat 5 and Cat 6 outlets and RJ12, while for media it encompasses TV, satellite, HDMI, speaker, phono (RCA) , SVGA, headphone, telephone (master), telephone (secondary) and a combined Telephone and ADSL filter unit inbuilt to negate the need for unsightly ‘plug in’ aftermarket ADSL filters.
Explains managing director of The Wandsworth Group, Gary Stevens: “The rapid progress of technology, particularly when it comes to entertainment systems, means that there has been a proliferation outlets required in homes, offices and hotels. Often that results in a jumble of different plates resulting in an even worse jumble of wires and an ugly appearance.
“Our new Series Two data and media outlets mean that all wall plates will match and outlets used to feed a single system – for example TV, satellite, HDMI and telephone outlets for a TV – can be grouped together in a single, convenient plate.
