Vaillant is further demonstrating its commitment to microgeneration technologies by integrating its climaVAIR air-to-air heat pump range within its renewables offering.

The climaVAIR portfolio is internationally renowned for its efficiency and performance, and this initiative acknowledges the necessity for manufacturers to reposition air-to-air heat pumps as a flagship eco product.

The climaVAIR units offer high levels of energy efficiency, generating 3 to 4kW of heat for every 1kW of electricity used in heating mode – providing environmental and financial savings.

Air-to-air heat pumps operate by extracting heat energy from the air outside of a building, passing it through a heat exchanger, compressor and refrigerant cycle and then distributing the now usable heat via fans within the building at a comfortable indoor temperature.

Shaun Edwards, UK & Ireland commercial director at Vaillant Group, commented: “The addition of air-to-air heat pumps to our product portfolio further emphasises our commitment to renewable technology.  Alongside our solar thermal, ground source and ventilation products, these new units increase the breadth of renewable energy solutions on offer to our customers.”
