Trend Control Systems, the leading international manufacturer and supplier of state-of-the-art Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), has announced a new high profile appointment to its senior management team in the form of Stefano D’Agostino. A well-known and respected industry figure, D’Agostino is Trend’s new Business Unit Director for Europe and will drive revenue growth across the continent.
D’Agostino joins Trend from Schneider Electric, where he worked for 12 years across a variety of roles, most recently as Divisional Director, where he successfully increased business both through a direct model and via systems integrators. His experience spans multiple vertical sectors including data centres, critical infrastructures, healthcare, education and finance – knowledge that will assist Trend’s objective of helping to create connected intelligent buildings that can leverage the benefits of the cloud and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Commenting on his new appointment, D’Agostino said, ‘Throughout my career I have successfully combined technical and sales capabilities with business development, business unit strategy and leadership roles, to consistently deliver exemplary results. I’m therefore thrilled to have been given the opportunity to lead Trend’s European business into the next chapter of its history and my key objectives are to provide the industry leading levels of service and innovation that our customers have come to expect, while expanding the company’s territorial reach.’
Highly qualified, D’Agostino holds an MSc in electronics engineering and a PhD in electrical engineering from the university of Naples, as well as an MBA from Manchester Business School. In his new role, he will be based in Rolle, Switzerland, and report to Lionel Caillat, general manager, Honeywell Building Technologies/Connected Buildings, Europe.
