A development of six super luxury apartments in London’s Belgravia, with price tags of up to £40million, has been the scene of a complex integration exercise by Integrated Control Systems, of Wokingham.

ICS installed a building management system to meet all landlord’s requirements, including a health club, and complete monitoring and metering of all incoming utilities for tenant billing purposes.

In addition, by employing their system integration skills, ICS has  provided user-friendly systems in each apartment to give occupants extensive room-by-room control of the internal environments. The various systems – under floor heating, fan coil units, ventilation, lighting, blinds etc – are linked to the BMS via the key pad serving a Crestron home audio visual/entertainment system.

All elements are accessible through a web link, giving occupants remote access to enable them to alter set points, times and also respond to any alarms raised.

ICS managing director John Reid says: “This installation demonstrates the flexibility of today’s systems.  The BMS has been integrated with a third party system – in this case Crestron – to transfer data and give the occupants of each apartment extremely user-friendly access to a system previously designed for engineers.”
