SummitSkills, the sector skills council for building services engineering, has achieved ‘Investors in People’ status. The esteemed title was attained following an extensive assessment from Investors in People (IIP), demonstrating SummitSkills’ successful procedures and strategies amongst its workforce.
The IIP report outlined SummitSkills’ success as an employer and its accomplishments as an organisation. It stressed that SummitSkills has an open, encouraging and supportive management style, with a robust and clearly articulated staff training and development strategy.

Keith Marshall, Chief Executive at SummitSkills, commented on the success: “The quality and skills of the people working for us is absolutely fundamental. The most important element in our organisation is our people. Achieving Investors in People status has been a company-wide effort. It’s something that you do with staff rather than to staff, so I’d like to say well done to everyone at SummitSkills.”

IIP status recognises the practical efforts and activities needed to bring a dispersed organisation’s employees together to review progress and provides straightforward, proven frameworks for delivering business improvement through people.
