Fast-expanding access hire firm Star Platforms has entered the truck mounted platform hire market by taking delivery of the new CTE Zed 21.2 JH.

This latest investment in the access hire fleet allows Star Platforms to offer customers a highly versatile mid-level truck-mounted boom, with a working height up to 20.7 metres.

It is particularly useful for applications that need a compact chassis – less than 3 metres – and where there is a need to be on and off the work site quickly.

CTE has redesigned the boom configuration for the Zed 21.2 JH to provide a flexible 20.7m working height and 10m outreach.

In addition, as customers demand ever greater capacities to carry heavier materials, the Zed 21.2JH now has a substantially increased capacity of 300kg. The platform is available for hire with a fully qualified operator or on a self-drive basis.

Star Platforms Joint Managing Director Richard Miller said: “As we continue to grow our customer base, we receive a greater number of requests for specialist equipment, including truck mounted platforms like this.

“This purchase reflects that demand and, as members of the Access Alliance, we can also offer our customers a broader range of other truck mounted platform hire options, all the way up to 112 metres.”
