Shropshire success for MHS Boilers

The new boilers replaced a 60-year old oil fired unit during the renovation of kitchen and toilet facilities, and the complete refurbishment of the heating system.

The M&E consultant and contractor for the project was Sutton Coldfield-based Hydro Mechanical Services Ltd. Managing Director Chris Jennings, said: “With design and build projects such as this one, we always try to specify tried and tested products that we know will deliver for our clients. Having installed quite a few Thision L boilers in the last couple of years, we knew they were highly reliable and ideal for this property’s refurbishment.”

Thision L is the latest range of light commercial gas fired, high efficiency, wall-hung condensing boilers with outputs from 48kW to 145kW. Featuring a double helix stainless steel heat exchanger, the boilers have a high turndown rate of 6:1, allowing the potential for accurate output-to-load matching.

Up to eight boilers can be installed in a purpose-built cascade rig delivering a combined output of up to 1,140kW. The on-board controls of the Thision L include the management of two heating zones plus the charging of a domestic hot water cylinder. The system is also easily adapted to provide multi-boiler cascade management.

Pisces Pressurisation Managers from MHS Boilers include Masterfill and Minifill units, which are ideal for automatically topping up and maintaining the cold fill pressure in wet central heating and chilled water systems.

The Masterfill Managers are electronically controlled floor standing units available in single and twin pump versions with options of standard (up to 3.0 bar) or high pressure (up to 5.0 bar) fill pumps. The Minifill Managers are suitable for floor standing or wall mounting and similarly available in single or twin pump electronic versions. A single pump electro-mechanical version is also available, suitable for cold fill requirements up to 3bar.
