Schwank has produced an impactful Infographic on Beating the Energy Gap recently uploaded to Flickr at http://bit.ly/schwank, bringing in a range of statistics showing how the UK’s 50% CO2 reduction target by the mid 2020s is affecting the country’s ability to meet industrial and domestic demand.

A range of power stations not meeting EU pollution laws are already closing and Alistair Buchanan of Ofgem has warned that the UK could face a near crisis between 2015 and 2018 with dramatic increases likely in energy bills.

Steve Sherman, Managing Director of Schwank UK, explained that the objective of the Schwank Infographic is to provide an easy to assimilate visual reference of a complex issue. “We have taken a range of information and statements from government, the media and bodies such as the Carbon Trust. This shows the scale of the energy challenges the UK faces, but we have set this against the significant advances in energy saving that modern heating systems can deliver.

“We hope that our Schwank Infographic will inspire energy users to examine the efficiencies they could put in place to save on costs, conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions.”
