RS launches Low Cost Lighting initiative
RS Components (RS) launches its new low-cost lighting initiative with the introduction of a further 250 lines to add to its existing 1,200. The new range of 1,450 lines will meet all customers’ lighting requirements while the restructured pricing will allow RS to easily compete with wholesalers. Overall, RS now has the range, prices and support services to be viewed as a serious lighting supplier.
The core lighting offer has been strengthened by the introduction of new products including leading-edge technologies and energy-efficient solutions from leading brands – Philips, Osram, GE and Megaman. The low-cost ranges of fluorescent, halogen & HID lighting are from Sylvania, Venture and Knightsbridge.
Neil Harrison, Marketing Manager for Building Maintenance at RS said, “These days, it’s all about value for money. Whether you’re a local authority, government department, hospital, educational establishment, industrial or commercial business, you’re looking for the right product with the right service at the right price.” He continued, “We’ve got some unbeatable prices and we can prove it. We carry out regular ‘price-checker’ type activities to ensure they stay that way.”
Increasingly, RS customers are doing business on the web, and so all the lighting products are on the RS website, available for same day despatch. The online Lighting Selector Tool also assists customers in choosing the right lighting for the application while ensuring value for money.
RS now has a compelling story to tell its customers about how it can save them money time and again through a series of hard-nosed pricing options supported by its impressive product range and service proposition. This means that RS need be their only supplier when placing their regular orders.
When purchasing in high volume, brand is seen to be less important. However, the larger companies will be concerned with brands for Health & Safety/Environmental reasons as these are specialist requirements. RS now also stocks these key brands.
