Partnership improves service offering

Philips has announced a new partnership between its consumer lighting business and Inman and Co (Electrical) Ltd to supply and service independent retailers with an exciting range of Philips consumer luminaires across the UK.

The agreement will substantially improve the service and offering available to the customers of both Philips and Inmans and other sellers of Philips lighting products. Inmans will offer retailers access to wider stockholdings at their three distribution centres in London, Sheffield and Bristol.

A dedicated team, of field and internal sales people, at Inmans will look after these customers with support provided by Philips’ Area Managers. All independent retailers will have the advantage of more frequent deliveries of stock, allowing them to receive products on a regular basis and keep their own stock holding to a minimum.

Adding value

Duncan McCue, Sales Director for Philips Consumer Lighting said: “Philips Consumer Lighting is delighted to announce this new partnership with Inmans. It will add significant value to our customers, offering added value in terms of service levels, expertise and customer focus, which we believe will introduce a new benchmark to the consumer lighting market within the UK.

“Customers will be fully supported by an extensive internal and external team from Inmans, providing enhanced customer resource as well as access to improved tools, such as online ordering, where customers will have the ability to check stocks and order products at any point in the day which is convenient to them.”

Stephan Hollingshead Deputy Chief Executive of Inmans added: “We have worked with Philips for a number of years now and are delighted to have been chosen for this new partnership. We have invested heavily in systems, staff training and additional stockholding to support it. We know that combining Philips products, with their reputation for quality and innovation, and our service, will deliver substantial benefits for both our new and existing customers.”
