Dave Newton has joined Faber Maunsell | AECOM’s Altrincham office as a Director responsible for Government Services activity across the North of England.
He joins from the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) where he was Senior Strategy Manager and was responsible for all GMPTE’s transport planning activities including land use, accessibility planning and sustainable development, the overall network strategy and robust and credible transport solutions.
Prior to joining GMPTE he worked for Faber Maunsell for 10 years on a range of complex and challenging projects including the rebuilding of Manchester city centre after the 1996 bomb and the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Dave said: “I will be responsible for identifying and managing regional clients and pursuing important projects.
“I will be co-ordinating activity across our transport government services including traffic, transport planning, freight, sustainability and market research.
In addition, I will be exploring project possibilities with our national, regional and local Government clients to maximise opportunities across transportation, building and environment divisions.”
