NAADUK celebrates launch of NAAD21

The  National Association of Air Duct Specialists UK (NAADUK) marked the launch of NAAD21 at Palace of Westminster this month.

Over 140 guests attended including representatives from associations including BESA, ASFP, ADCAS, BRE & FETA as well as leading companies in construction such as Wilmott Dixon, EMCOR and Lorne Stewart.

NAADUK is now working on NAAD22 and NAAD23 while its first WG on Fire Dampers is already showing up many shortcomings within the industry.

NAADUK has over the past two years issued many guidance documents on COVID19 and pandemic-related issues, one of which was issued in over 67 countries and has been requested from as far afield as Australia, UAE, KSA, France and Germany.

NAADUK said NAAD21 has proven what can be achieved by experts working together for the good of all for the benefit of all with no commercial interest.

The association thanked the leadership council of Great Britain led by Joshua Jackson and headed by Lord Blunkett as well as numerous government individuals.

NAADUK president Peter Reid said the UK could take a lead going forward in IAQ and fire sagety. He said: “We have started on a road we hope others will follow. Thank you to all who had faith in us.”
