ATC Semitec has introduced a new moisture-proof version to its range of disc thermostats. The SJW6 series can now be fitted with a plastic housing and integral lead-wires (18~20AWG) to provide an IP64 rated control.
This housing can also be combined with the pipe-clip fitting allowing use on pipes from 10mm-16mm diameter in wet applications. The curved base on this fitting improves the contact with the pipe thus maximising its thermal response.
Available with normally-open or normally-closed contacts, the SJW6 can be supplied with differentials down to 6K and tolerances of +/-3K on the opening and closing temperatures. This helps to achieve highly accurate temperature control as well as minimising energy use.
