With St Peters Church having had no heating for the past 30 years, Communion Architects of Hereford, took on the mammoth task of renovating the medieval building.

PF106

Engineering Services Design Practice (ESDP Ltd) of Redditch Worcestershire incorporated a comprehensive heating package from UK designer and manufacturer Mikrofill Ethos Boilers.

The mechanical installation was skilfully carried out by T H Haskett of Gloucester and consisted of two No Ethos 70kW stainless steel condensing Boilers, a Mikrofill pressurisation package and a Mikrovent  low loss header/air and dirt separator.

Sited within the church’s basement, the new equipment provides primary heat to the building through a new underfloor system within a raised oak floor as well as perimeter heating via renovated cast iron radiators.

The parish church has breathed new life into the heart of Hereford City Centre by providing multi-facilities for the community with a tasteful modern approach.
