Luceco has recently supplied a complete package of LED luminaires to The Central Fruit & Vegetable Market at Al Warsan in the Dubai Municipality.

The 50,000 sqm fully airconditioned warehousing was relit with over 2000 Ceres HighBay fittings. IP65 rated, Ceres benefits from a computer designed die-cast aluminium housing with vortex cooling for maximum LED chip performance and provides over 70,000 hours of operational life and a luminaire efficacy up to of 147 Llm/cW.  Available with on/off presence detection options, often a requirement in commercial and industrial applications, Ceres offers 60, 90 and 120-degree lens variations.

Administration areas were lit with a combination of LuxFrame, Epsilon and Platinum Downlights. Installed around the ceiling tile, LuxFrame provides a contemporary lighting effect whilst maintaining the integrity of the ceiling.  Epsilon is an LED direct / indirect UGR19 compliant recessed fitting designed to optimise lighting performance and maximise luminaire spacing, enjoying an efficacy of up to 140 Llm/cW and 100,000 hours life. Both Epsilon and LuxFrame are available with DALI dimmable drivers and emergency back-up variants.

The project also included the renovation of the market’s internal roads to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. As well as offloading bays and wholesale area, the facilities include a motel for truck drivers, residential quarters for workers, a mosque, police station, bank, retail outlets, restaurants, and external parking for 800 trucks. Luceco’s Guardian Pro flood lights and Viva City streetlight from Kingfisher Lighting, part of the Luceco PLC Group, were installed to illuminate the building perimeters and internal roads.
