Luceco has recently provided LED energy saving lighting for Tile Cross Academy’s new facilities. Tile Cross Academy is part of the Washwood Heath Multi Academies’ Trust (WHMAT), a family of 7 schools, 3 Secondary and 4 Primary, serving the city of Birmingham. During the Autumn Term, Tile Cross Academy opened its £7 Million refurbishment with new sporting facilities, food, textiles and art environments, ICT and music classrooms, science and engineering facilities.
Luceco’s Leren was used in various classrooms. Leren is a contemporary and stylish linear LED pendant luminaire, offering both upward and downward light distribution providing an enhanced overall lit environment, particularly where there are high or open ceiling voids to illuminate. Leren offers over 100,000 hours of maintenance free, operational life with an efficacy of 120 Llm/cW, and three lumen outputs; 4,000, 5,200 and 7,500 lm.

Accessories available include ceiling mount electrical connection rose and blanking modules in 600, 900, 1,200 and 1,500-mm lengths. Leren is available as fixed output, DALI dimmable, emergency back-up variants, PIR and LiteIP and offers excellent photometric performance.
Platinum Downlighters lit corridors and circulation areas, featuring easy fit positive locating swing out tabs for quick installation. Platinum and Leren are ideal for use with sensors and lighting controls including LiteIP to further improve energy efficiency. LiteIP is an intelligent wireless lighting system requiring no complicated electrical installation and no limit to the number of luminaires that can be controlled and is compatible with all driver types including DSI, DALI and 1-10 V. Other features include presence and daylight detection, energy monitoring and reporting.
