LG’s range of VRF products is now finding an ever increasing market at prestige sites in the City of London. Consultants, interior designers and contractors are warming to the ease of installation, system efficiencies and sheer good looks of, for example, a Multi V VRF system coupled with Art Cool indoor units.
At one office site in the City which is a Grade II listed building and thus a complex installation, LG Art Cool’s have been installed in most of the public areas.

All the air conditioning was installed and operating before the hot spell last summer and coped very well with the excessive temperatures that were well above the design parameters of the initial project.

LG FDX Inverter Drive Multi Systems were selected using standard wall mounted fan coil units in the small offices. This was to facilitate the wall-to-wall customised storage units that this busy office environment needed and each office had its own wireless control.

The basement and ground floors of the site made use of the LG Universal range with ducted fan coil units connected to Inverter Drive outdoor units. This made full use of the long pipework range of the LG units but kept the energy efficiency of the inverter drive and R410A refrigerant systems.

LG are now in the process of completing several other high-profile sites in central London which need a variety of VRF options and quality in-door units. The LG range is ideally suited to the majority of sites where unobtrusive air conditioning is required.

At Quadrant Court, Cascade fittings have been combined with Spectre 200 asymmetric compact fluorescent downlighters around the perimeters of the office spaces, providing a wash of light to the walls and raising vertical illuminance levels to increase visual comfort.

Lighting of other areas included Esprit recessed downlighters in common areas and Lister IP65 rated modular fluorescent luminaires in catering areas.
