Vaillant has announced details of its new air conditioning training programme, for both the experienced and novice installer. Vaillant offers a four-day training course for inexperienced installers and new entrants to the air conditioning sector.
Individuals are assessed throughout the course, with those who complete it successfully being sent a Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) certificate in the safe handling of air conditioning refrigerants two weeks later.

Topics covered include the operation, installation and commissioning of air conditioning systems and units, as well as the safe handling of refrigerants in compliance with the F-gas regulations.

There is also a two-day training course, which is essentially a condensed version of the four-day one. This allows existing installers to renew their CITB certificate and/or learn about any changes to protocol.

Courses aren’t exclusively for air conditioning specialists; boiler installers are able to attend a special one-day appreciation course, courtesy of Vaillant. Here, they can learn all about the basics of air conditioning installation and commissioning. Should installers then wish to become a fully-fledged air conditioning installer following completion of this course, they are invited back to attend the full four-day course, where they can become a fully certified air conditioning installer.

Commenting on the training programme, Vaillant’s Shaun Quatan said: “These courses show the high level of dedication Vaillant displays towards training. Not only can experienced air conditioning installers refresh their skills, those new to the field are also able to come along and add yet another string to their bow. By being fully trained in both boilers and air conditioning, they will become experts in all heating and cooling solutions, whatever the weather.”
