SummitSkills has announced that Keith Marshall, OBE is stepping down as Chief Executive of the organisation. Recent weeks have seen the culmination of a great deal of hard work and activity, with the Board deciding the organisation’s strategy into 2014 and an immediate restructure in preparation for that change. This has cut costs and reshaped the organisation recognising current conditions. SummitSkills will sharpen its focus on activities that bring greatest value to the sector.

Ian Livsey, Chair, said: “Keith has led the organisation for the last ten years through challenging and changing times in the sector. We are grateful for his commitment and achievements and he leaves SummitSkills with our thanks and best wishes.”

Keith Marshall, reflecting on the evolution of SummitSkills said: “The time is right for me to step down and move on to other things. Since it was set up SummitSkills has consistently punched above its weight and worked hard with employers and trade associations to represent the building services engineering sector. Personally, it has been very rewarding and it has been a privilege to serve the sector. I have made many good friends along the way. Recent work has concentrated on decisions and actions to ensure the organisation is sustainable and set up for the future. I wish my colleagues and SummitSkills all the very best as they take the organisation forward.”
