As part of its journey to becoming CO2 neutral by 2050, Daikin has launched its most sustainable VRV solution yet: the VRV 5 S-series.

The VRV 5 S-series is the latest evolution in the manufacturer’s portfolio development, which Daikin is striving to fully convert to lower GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants. The completely new VRV unit has been developed specifically to use R-32 refrigerant, while simultaneously being an all-round performer suitable for all mini VRV applications.

Fully optimised for installation in rooms as small as 10m2, its factory-mounted refrigerant response measures mean no additional leak detection is required. In use, it provides best-in-class design versatility with five sound pressure levels down to 39 db(A) and automatic ESP setting up to 45 Pa allowing for ductwork, while the intuitive online and voice controls offer maximum user comfort.

Speaking about the launch, Martin Passingham, Product & Training Manager at Daikin, said: “We see there being three key stepping stones on our journey to becoming CO2 neutral: through a circular economy, through innovation and through smart use. The introduction of the VRV 5 S-series is a perfect example of our efforts to innovate and introduce more sustainable solutions to our portfolio.”
