HVCA launch heat pump guide
HVCA Publications has launched its new Heat Pump – REF TR/30 Guide to Good Practice, a comprehensive manual for the different applications of Heat Pump technology. The 28 page book is compiled in conjunction with the HVCA Technical Committee and other key industry members.
The Guide offers sound advice on Heat Pumps to professional building services engineers, starting with the basic foundation for anyone who is preparing to install a Heat Pump as well as defining vital regulations, including environmental issues.
Alan Keating, HVCA technical & safety adviser and a contributor to this publication, said: “The need to address energy usage, and in particular the associated carbon emissions created by its generation and consumption, has caused those responsible for the design, installation and operation of buildings to review many of the traditional methodologies.”
The Guide is intended to be part of a suite of publications covering generic installation requirements for a range of renewable energy systems including biomass fuels, solar hot water and combined heat and power (CHP). It draws on the wide range of existing HVCA publications covering good practice in building engineering systems.
HVCA’s Heat Pump – REF TR/30 Guide to Good Practice is available exclusively from HVCA Publications by calling 01768 860405 or by visiting www.hvca.org.uk/publications .
