TridonicAtco has supplied its xtouch BOX to furniture solutions company Kinnarps (UK) Limited to provide enhanced lighting control in the company’s new London showroom. Located in Covent Garden, the showroom has been designed to reflect a real business solution, creating a working demonstration of an exciting workplace.
TridonicAtco’s x-touch BOX has been installed in the conference, display and bar areas to control Luxo Lighting’s Vind and S-Type luminaires and Travel downlighters. The xtouch BOX is currently being used to provide four options; a cheerful, welcoming illumination for general use, a brighter ambience for the conference area, more muted tones for the bar area and for more informal use the lighting is more intimate.
Steve Willis, Technical Manager with Luxo and lighting designer on the project, commented: “The beauty of TridonicAtco’s x-touch BOX is that we are not limited to the number of luminaires we can operate with the system and we have the option of being able to add luminaires at a later date, which we certainly will be doing”.
The x-touch BOX from TridonicAtco enables taskspecific lighting moods to be programmed and automatically activated in all DALI lighting control systems. The DALI sequencer enables lighting moods (scenes) to be called up one after the other automatically. These two control units with integrated sequencers are ideal for lighting systems in which dynamic light, changes of scene or defined sequences are required. Up to 99 independent lighting sequences can be stored, each capable of calling up to 16 lighting scenes any number of times, allowing the mood in any room to be changed at any time.
TridonicAtco’s x-touch BOX, used in conjunction with Luxo luminaires, has provided the appropriate lighting for the ideal holistic environment – furniture, lighting, ergonomics and sustainability are all key features of the new space.
