Chemical Process Solutions has launched a new range of all thermoplastic corrosion resistant gas to liquid heat exchangers for use in the process and laboratory industries.

CPS heat exchangers can be manufactured in a range of thermoplastic materials (Polypropylene, Polyethylene and PVDF) and are completely corrosion resistant. The units are installed in the corrosive fume extraction ductwork and linked with a typical run around coil system to an aluminium heat exchanger in the fresh air intake ductwork.

This results in pre-heating of the inlet air during the winter and cooling of the inlet air during the summer, giving reduced load on the air handling unit resulting in lower  energy costs and a reduced carbon footprint.

Each unit is of modular construction and can be designed to replace existing metal heat exchangers or as a complete energy recovery system installed in both new and existing facilities.

The units can be manufactured for extraction volumes up to 150,000m³/hr and temperatures up to 140ºC.
