Editor’s Note – November 2009
Since the launch of the 2010 Building Controls Industry Awards last month the response has been staggering and we have been flooded with requests for more information and entry forms.
Which is great news – not just for the awards, but for the whole of the industry because it means that there are plenty of people out there whose colleagues think that they should be recognised for the excellent work which they do in the building controls industry.
If you are not sure what it is all about then the official website is a great source of information and can be found at www.buildingcontrolsindustryawards.com. This is the comprehensive information source for the awards and includes details of how to enter and what date to put in your diary for the awards dinner. The site also has an entry form allowing you to get your entry in the post today, and when the time comes voting will also take place through this website – so it’s worth bookmarking it for future reference.
The most important part of these awards is that they are a celebration of new technology which is helping the entire industry to meet the carbon reduction targets set down by the Government. Through the use of building controls we can get an accurate picture of the energy which we are using and set about reducing it in line with current legislation.
This isn’t just another opportunity for a great night out with your industry colleagues, it’s an opportunity to show that your company is making a difference and providing the means for the industry to meet the Government targets. So if you know anyone in the industry who fits into one of the award categories then make sure that you pass this information onto them because we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to enter.
See you next month
