Claremont Group Interiors has completed the fit-out of Vindon Scientific’s new premises at the 420-acre Kingsway Business Park development in Rochdale.

Following the installation of a new mezzanine floor, the building is now split between new office space, a manufacturing area and a dedicated environment controlled storage suite. The completed interior includes a new boardroom with presentation facilities and new staff and client amenities. In addition, a fully integrated AV solution by Viewpoint (Claremont’s audio visual division) has also been installed.

Specialists in the provision of controlled environment rooms, stability storage and disaster recovery, Vindon’s new premises now provide a best-in-class storage and disaster recovery facility for the UK and European Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry, increasing the company’s brand and profile, whilst also allowing the company to greatly expand its existing manufacturing capacity.

Ken Bundy, Designer at Claremont said: “The project offered an usual challenge of uniting the clinical side of Vindon’s business operations, with the warmer customer-facing side of the business. We have now completed the design and fit-out to Vindon’s requirements and both the client and ourselves are extremely pleased with the finished result.”

Patrick Jackson, Director at Vindon Scientific, said: “Relocating after 40 years from our original site in Diggle, Oldham was an extremely important step in the company’s history.

“Moving to Kingsway presented us with a massive opportunity to create a layout that would support the firm’s commercial and corporate culture objectives. The Claremont design team was excellent at transferring Vindon’s requirements and corporate image into working designs and I know our clients appreciate the new facility. Their idea was not just to make Kingsway a productive place to work, but to make it an enjoyable place to work too. The spacious feel of the layout means that the staff have the space they need to do what is often a very demanding job but, with an informal break out area, and the onsite Café Vindon, it is a very social environment.”
