ITW Switches offers a new range of Capacitive Touch Switchpanels suited to applications where electronic sensing is required, offering a variety of solutions in a single package.
The Chameleon family of Capacitive Touch Switchpanels can be used in standalone form or in conjunction with a communication module, attached to the rear realising full system integration. ITW has the capability of programming the switch to meet the needs of each customer or application, providing a bespoke solution from a common set of hardware.
The product features integral bi-colour LED illumination, which can be utilised to indicate switch function and status, options for custom graphics providing the facility for customer specific applications and branding and also the ability to interface with various communication protocols, making this ideal for much system and building control applications.
Features include momentary, maintained and timed functions, configurable by the customer, single switch or keypad options. The unit fits industry standard single gang pattresses. Outputs are configurable, with the option for solid state or relay outputs.
The front touch surface of the unit acts as an operator interface and is defined as a 3×4 key matrix. This can be programmed to offer a wide range of key configurations as well as specific functions.
The switch module itself includes a DPDT relay with all 6 terminals user-accessible, an open collector NPN transistor switch output and an I²C data port providing complete flexibility for the user/installer.
