Since TEAM’s inauguration in 1985, they have been at the forefront of energy management solutions and services, working in partnership with organisations to meet their unique needs and industry challenges.

This year commemorates 35 years of energy management innovation for TEAM. As the UK’s leading energy and sustainability management consultancy, they have been a vanguard of change, growing and developing our services to better meet the needs of their customers.

TEAM was not only one of the first organisations to launch a dedicated Energy Bureau service in the UK, but also one of the first to issue a Display Energy Certificate (DEC) following their launch in 2008. They continued to pave the way for DEC service efficiency by introducing the first DEC module to market, followed by a leading Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) solution in response to new legislation in 2010.

Following their partnership with parent company EDW Technology, TEAM have continued to strengthen their position as the leading energy management services provider, through the investment and growth of their product portfolio. 2018 saw the major re-development of their flagship solution, Sigma, to enhance its interface and reporting capability, followed swiftly by the launch of their next generation Sigma Tenant Billing software.

In 2019, together with EDW, they moved into employee ownership, further securing the future of the business for both employees and customers.

2020 further signalled a strategic step-change with the expansion of their Consultancy arm. This year has seen the launch of a number of new consultancy services to support customers on their sustainability journey, including bespoke Energy Behaviour Change programmes, a MOP efficiency contract service and an enhanced Audits and Surveys offering.

Reflecting on 35 years of business Graham Paul, Service Delivery Director for TEAM, said “We are delighted to be celebrating this significant milestone. It’s been both a challenging and exciting year for us. Together with our customers we’ve faced the difficulties of the coronavirus pandemic, but our ability to adapt has meant we have continued to deliver the same level of customer and service innovation we always have.

Despite the challenges, we’ve invested heavily in our Consultancy to help further support our customers committed to hitting their environmental targets.”

He added: “Looking ahead to the future of TEAM, we have ambitious plans for the continued growth of our sustainability services with a number of new developments being announced over the next 12 months. We look forward to sharing our plans with our customers, partners and friends soon.”
