Buderus, part of the global Bosch Group, has boosted its solar offering with the addition of two solar evacuated tube collectors to offer optimised hot water efficiency.

Manufactured by Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd in Germany, the new additions to Buderus’ established range of solar thermal panels have been designed to offer a solar solution for almost every application, with the added benefit of even greater efficiencies to be gained from the new evacuated tube collectors.

The cylindrical pipes used in construction of the panels are well suited to absorbing energy from the sun, as a much greater surface area of each pipe is exposed to any available light. This makes the collectors particularly suitable for maximising solar gain, even at low light intensities, such as during the winter months when the sun is at its weakest.

The fully pre-assembled SKR6 and SKR12 panels have been designed with CPC (Compound Parabolic Concentrator) technology to provide 360 degree absorption of solar energy. In optimum conditions this technology allows the panels to produce up to 60% of a property’s hot water, even on days with little sun.
