Five functions in one valve – including energy monitoring.

Measuring, controlling, balancing and shutting with a single valve – and it doesn’t stop there: As its fifth function, the new Belimo Energy Valve™ now also shows you where energy is being consumed. That means this characterised control valve with electronic flow setting, offers you all the fundamentals required for optimising the consumption of your systems, for improved energy efficiency and for lowering operating costs.

The Energy Valve is the next logical development of the electronically controlled, pressure-independent characterised control valve EPIV from Belimo. Like the EPIV, it can measure, control, balance and shut. Now with the fifth function of energy monitoring, the new Energy Valve has two sensors which measure the temperatures in the supply and return pipework and together with the flow rate that is also recorded, the energy consumption for heating and cooling is determined on a continuous basis. The measurement data remains saved for 13 months on the web server integrated in the actuator. The current consumption values can be viewed, analysed and optimised at any time, either on site with a laptop (RJ45 Ethernet interface) or through the management system.

When valves are replaced in older systems, the system data has often become lost over time or they are unknown. Here, too, the Energy Valve offers a simple solution, missing data can be reconstructed without difficulty with the aid of the integrated web server. This means that the maximum flow rate can be set precisely and can be optimised at any time if necessary.
