The box office event of the year is back! Entries are officially open for the 2020 Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) Awards. The distinguished ‘Oscar’ style ceremony has rightfully earned top billing in the dynamic world of building controls.

What’s new for 2020? To reflect the fast-moving landscape of the industry, the BCIA is delighted to introduce the “Smart Buildings” accolade which will be awarded to a manufacturer, installer or team in recognition of a project which demonstrates how smart technology has been used to enhance the user experience in a building/complex.

With a total of nine prestigious awards to be presented on the night, why not bite the bullet and take the unique opportunity to see your name or company on the big screen and enjoy what is truly the golden age of smart technology and building controls.

Engineers are at the forefront of evolving commercial buildings, so if you are a talented Engineer over the age of 35 why not enter the Engineer of the Year category? Or if you’re aged 18-35, make a name for yourself in the Young Engineer of the Year category which is sponsored by Schneider Electric.

With new technology ever present in the industry, training is essential to be best equipped to deliver full potential on projects. If you deliver training in building controls that you feel deserves recognition, enter the Contribution to Training Award sponsored by Siemens Building Products.

Innovation is the beating heart of the work that we do. This is the time to stand up and be proud of your market changing products and projects. You are spoilt for choice as you can enter the Technical Innovation of the Year – Projects which is sponsored by Johnson Controls or Technical Innovation of the Year – Products.

The 2020 BCIA Awards will take place on Thursday 30 April at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. The awards are free to enter with no restrictions on the number of categories you can enter. The deadline for entries is Friday 20 December 2019.
