Baxi centralises business
Baxi Heating UK’s Commercial Division has announced a decision to centralise its water heating and commercial boiler businesses. From June 2007 Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial will both operate from existing Baxi Commercial Heating premises in Birmingham, creating a one-stop-shop centre of excellence for commercial heating products.
The decision falls in line with Baxi Heating UK’s Commercial Division’s strategy to create synergy across its brands and become the market leader in the provision of commercial heating solutions. Centralising operations to one Midlands location will strengthen the links between the two interrelated businesses and will enable Baxi Commercial Heating to achieve greater commercial focus and to better meet the demands and expectations of its customers.
As part of the centralisation, Andrews Water Heaters will relocate its back office functions from its headquarters in Wednesbury, West Midlands. The back office functions will move to Baxi Commercial Heating’s existing premises in Erdington, Birmingham, where Potterton Commercial is already based. A warehousing and distribution facility for both businesses will be created at the former Andrews Water Heaters headquarters.
Paul Hardy, Mnaging Drector of Baxi Commercial Heating, said: “In line with our strategy for growth, it is essential for our two businesses, Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial, to be housed under one roof.
“Though continuing to operate as independent businesses, Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial will work together as a united force. We will build on our combined strengths and the synergies between the two companies, and will be able to offer customers a one-stop-shop approach where commercial boilers and water heaters are concerned. This move will take our business to the next level, and re-confirms that Baxi Commercial Heating is a major force in the commercial heating industry.”
