Helping to combat issues with restricted installation space whilst delivering the best in energy efficient technology, Xpelair has launched a new high performance and easy to install MEV central extract unit.

The Xplus 2EC is a unique low-profile unit designed to reduce the projection off the wall or ceiling by 25% in comparison to conventional systems, from the traditional 250mm profile to 190mm. It also incorporates an extra long-life and low energy EC motor that reduces energy usage and extends motor life, without compromising on high performance ventilation extraction.

Steve Mongan, Head of Marketing at Xpelair, explained: “Restricted space in domestic applications such as high-rise apartments often limits the product choice for contractors and installers when selecting an appropriate ventilation system. In addition, the changes to Part F of the Building Regulations will increase the demand for systems to significantly help lower the carbon impact of buildings.”

The system includes three adjustable fan settings so that installers can control the speed air is extracted for each individual application based on its size and layout.
