Vent-Axia has appointed Ronnie George as Managing Director. Ronnie joins Vent-Axia from Draka, where he has held various positions since 1986. He takes over from Kevin Sergeant who will now focus on his strategic role as Chief Executive Officer of Vent-Axia’s parent company, Volution Holdings.
“These are exciting times for the building services sector and for Vent-Axia” says Ronnie. “Low carbon is firmly at the top of the industry agenda, new Building Regulations are in the pipeline and the UK economy is facing an uncertain future, with inflationary pressures at the forefront of everybody’s mind.
“Vent-Axia is in a strong position to help the sector respond positively to these challenges. Our award-winning Lo-Carbon by Vent-Axia initiative is already providing inspiration to consultants, contractors, private and public sector specifiers. It’s supported by the acclaimed Vent-Axia Knowledge Bank and our first class range of CPD training and support services. More than this, the Vent-Axia brand stands for high quality, reliability and excellent performance; values which, in tough times, our customers can always rely on with certainty. The reality is that we are in excellent shape, we are well-placed to support our customer base and we are looking forward to the future with real confidence.”
Ronnie brings to Vent-Axia a wealth of diverse experience from a career spanning more than 20 years with Draka Cables. In this time, he has taken on a number of senior, high profile roles at the company including Commercial Director, Operations Director and Managing Director. Drawing on this all-round knowledge and expertise, Ronnie will help steer the Vent- Axia business to bring even greater value to its customers, focusing on the sales, marketing and commercial aspects of the company.
