Resource Data Management (RDM) will be exhibiting the world’s first HD multi-touch colour touchscreen building energy management system at this year’s Building Controls Show at Sandown Park on the 23rd-24th October.
The new Data Manager Touch (dmTouch) is an intelligent control system providing a simple and effective way for businesses to take control, monitor and measure all energy consuming equipment including air conditioning, heating, ventilation and lighting from a single point of contact.
The key design aim was to maintain the feature-rich functionality of the Data Manager, adding power, speed and ease-of-use while maintaining the affordability and competitiveness of the system against more expensive rivals that struggle to match the Data Manager’s capabilities.
As with all RDM systems, it is based on an open protocol, enabling all types of plant and equipment to be connected into a single intelligent control and monitoring network.
It can cater for some 14 different communications protocols, providing a universal solution to meet all requirements, overcoming the “locked-in” risk of certain proprietary systems. It also offers the ability to communicate via the open web services interface.
The system is suitable for use on small sites, for example offices, convenience stores or petrol station forecourts, and can be scaled up for large applications such as multi-floor offices, supermarkets, hospitals, and industrial plants. Individual sites can be linked to create an estate-wide control and monitoring solution.
Users can access the full capabilities of the system from a pc, tablet or smart phone, or any device with an internet connection. Using the intuitive touch-screen, users can view an array of information about their sites, with vital data such as energy use presented graphically for immediate review and action. For security, access is controlled via a card swipe or finger print login system.
The new dmTouch comes with a five year warranty, free training and support.
Visit stand A7 to see the dmTouch in action demonstrating live control mechanisms allowing you to see where your energy is being used and providing the means to control it. Find out how RDM achieves savings of, on average 10% and in many cases 30% on energy usage. With ROI measured in months not years, RDM’s dmTouch is a must-see at the 2013 Building Controls Show.
