Montgomery Hall is a multi-purpose venue in Wath upon Dearne, South Yorkshire which boasts a stage, cinema and licensed bar and hosts a variety of events such as weddings, parties and other private functions. As part of the heating refurbishment at the hall, PH Heating Engineers recommended Caspian and Skyline fan convectors from Smith’s Environmental Products.

Pete Howell Snr, Director of PH Heating Engineers explained: “We decided to include Smith’s fan convectors as part of the installation as these were integral to the design of the system. The fan convectors offered a number of energy efficient and space saving solutions that we thought would be beneficial to the venue.

“The products we selected were the Smith’s Skyline and Caspian fan convectors. These replaced some old, inefficient Dunham-Bush heaters, which were really outdated.”

Meeting requirements

The Caspian fan convector is a robust, floor or wall-mounted fan convector ideal for meeting the heavy duty heating requirements of the larger room. Caspians also benefit from a low surface temperature casing for complete safety. Skyline fan convectors on the other hand, are ceiling-mounted, providing a perfect solution to heating large rooms such as Montgomery Hall.

Pete added: “There were no problems at all during the installation and from what I’ve been told the management at Montgomery Hall are very pleased with the new heating system.”

Kelly Wilson, Administrator at Montgomery Hall said: “The Smiths heaters are 100% better than the old system, which looked like it belonged in a museum! The entire building is warmer than it ever has been and it’s actually nice to come into a warm office during this cold weather.”

Using simple and proven technology that can put heat where required, when required, fan convectors are the quickest and most cost effective way of bringing a cold room up to temperature.
