Groundbreaking micro-CHP technology is available for the first time in the UK from ENER-G Combined Power Limited.

The Yanmar Micro CHP range expands ENER-G’s capability from 4kWe to 10MWe – opening up energy efficiency solutions for smaller buildings. A 25kWe unit would typically save up to 66 tonnes of carbon annually. Users can also qualify for the government’s new feed-in tariff scheme.

The systems, which have low operating noise, can be located in limited, external spaces – similar to those required by air conditioning units. Running costs are low due to 10,000-hour service intervals (approximately two years).

The technology is ideal for modest-sized buildings requiring electricity and heat for long periods, such as care homes, smaller medical centres, fast food restaurants, and compact supermarkets.
