Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, has been recognised by Fortune Magazine in its 2016 Change the World list.

The Group ranks 24 in the table, which highlights companies addressing global social problems as part of their core business strategy and integrating societal needs into their corporate strategy.

Schneider Electric was singled out for its Access to Energy programme, which brings electrical power to people and communities without power and trains local workers to ensure sustainability.

On its website, Fortune Magazine highlighted Schneider Electric’s off-grid solar backup solution that powered 128 Kenyan schools and the Group’s training initiatives in energy management in Africa, Asia and South America for disadvantaged youth’s people.
