Rinnai’s new generation of Infinity continuous flow hot water systems are claimed to have the best energy efficiency figures in the industry and guarantee to deliver safe temperature controlled hot water – all day, every day. The systems are ideally suited to commercial sites – cafés, pubs and restaurants, offices, shops and hairdressers and small industrial process applications.
Design improvements by Rinnai have increased the heat efficiency of its hot-water appliances to world record levels, from 90% to 105% net efficiency while decreasing gas consumption by about 16%. This has led to a huge reduction in both running costs and NOx emissions – just 30 parts per million with the pre-mix ceramic burner system.
The Infinity range is available for both internal and external installations and comes with 100 % accurate water temperature control, an additional temperature controller and frost protection and operates on either natural gas or LPG.
The new Rinnai Infinity 16i offers a system that guarantees a constant flow of safe hot water delivered at precisely the temperature chosen. Operated via an easy to use built-in digital controller, the 16i provides near mains pressure flow for as long as is needed, without the need for thermostatic mixer valves. The Rinnai Infinity 16i also comes with frost protection as standard.
With the Rinnai 16i there is no danger of scalding as the unit cleverly eliminates sudden changes in water temperature. The water temperature set via the digital temperature controller is the one delivered. So, if somebody is showering at, say 42°C, and a tap is turned on elsewhere, the temperature will not vary. As a failsafe, the unit will automatically cut the heater off should the temperature rise by 3°C above the chosen set point.
It has a flow rate of 15.2 litres per minute, raised at 33°C and electrical consumption of 68W. The temperature range is 37°C-60°C and the exhaust system is a room sealed forced flue.
Other models in the Infinity range include the Infinity 26i – Rinnai’s best seller worldwide. In common with the entire Rinnai range a major safety feature of the 26i is an automatic cut-off should the water temperature rise by 3°C above the chosen point. Exhaust system is via a direct vent forced flue.
The 26i is designed for internal installation and has a flow rate of 19.6 litres/min, raised at 33°C and temperature range of 37°C-85°C and electrical consumption of 80W.
This market leading water heater has reduced greenhouse emissions due to the new NOx burner technology and it is the perfect choice as an integral part of a solar water heating system.
The Rinnai Infinity range is designed to be used directly off the mains, with no need for large, ungainly storage vessels. In many commercial operations these heaters are the best of all possible options; storage systems, by virtue of their design are unable to cope with modern hot water demand, as the recovery times are often longer than the period of use. Restaurants and hotels are a prime example, as they require heavy loads of hot water at intermittent times of the day, often at high temperature to satisfy health requirements.
