The 2016 Global eSight Summit, hosted at Ascot Racecourse on 1st November, welcomed customers and guests from across all business sectors for a day of energy management insights.

The event featured guest speakers from high profile organisations including Molson Coors, Veolia and the University of Liverpool, sharing valuable energy management experience from a range of perspectives.

Jamie MacKinnon, Global Sustainability Manager at Molson Coors, joined the Summit from Toronto to discuss how the multi-national brewer is implementing the ‘Dollar$ense’ project, a global energy efficiency initiative powered by eSight analytics, reporting and dashboards.

The presentation included an overview of the challenges faced in running energy intensive brewery processes, and how with clear visibility of data, dynamic performance tracking and staff engagement, Molson Coors have achieved impressive savings across the organisation.

Rachid Hamida, Methods and Tools Manager at Veolia followed to present on how eSight is used as the central tool to deliver the company’s ‘Hubgrade’ service, an integrated energy solution for Veolia’s global client base. The presentation demonstrated how eSight software fulfils the diverse energy management demands of a wide range of customers due to its flexibility, integration capabilities and comprehensive functionality.

The guest speaker sessions were concluded with Peter Birch, Engineering Services Manager at the University of Liverpool, who shared the successful energy initiatives that have been rolled out across the university campus, including their new state-of-the-art energy centre and restored CHP plant. Delegates also heard how the university use ENVI dashboards to engage students in energy saving by promoting competition between each Halls of Residence.

The Summit, which was attended by delegates from 17 countries, opened with a Product Update from eSight Energy’s Technical Director, Jody Barford, and Project Manager, Matt Dauner. Attendees were shown the new features in the latest eSight release, including Project Tracking and Map Navigation, as well as the roadmap for future releases.

Customers were later given the opportunity in afternoon workshops to provide their feedback on the new developments to ensure they meet requirements and enhance the user experience.

Sue Duma, Managing Director of eSight Energy Ltd commented: “We were delighted to welcome so many customers and guests to Ascot for another successful Summit. We have had some excellent feedback from attendees and valued the opportunity to gain and share knowledge so that we can continue to provide leading energy management solutions that meet their varied needs.”
