Integrated renewables from Hoval
Published:  05 November, 2010

Hoval’s portfolio of low carbon products now includes biomass boilers, solar heating systems and air-source heat pumps. The range also includes control systems to enable these different renewable technologies to work with each other, and with conventional condensing boilers, to optimum effect. These controls address one of the main challenges in incorporating renewables in a project.

Hoval’s BioLyt (26kW – 160kW) and STU (150kW – 1200kW) wood pellet and Forester (180kW – 2000kW) wood chip biomass boilers offer very high efficiencies (up to 95%) and high levels of automation.

All biomass boilers can be fitted with the new CF ceramic filter for removing particulate emissions in line with the latest air quality legislation. CF filters can also be retrofitted to existing biomass boilers.

Independent testing of Hoval’s new range of Belaria air-source, air-to-water heat pumps has confirmed a Coefficient of Performance of 3.8 - the highest efficiency ever measured for air to water heat pumps at the Buchs Interstate Technical University NTB, the modular Belaria range has operating temperatures up to 55ºC and is available in seven model variants with heating capacities ranging from 8.6kW to 33.2kW.
