A UK first for Adam
Published:  04 October, 2010

Adam Boswell of Cofely has become the first person in the UK to pass the Trend Apprenticeship Scheme, a scheme designed in conjunction with Trend Control Systems to train apprentices in the building controls field.

Adam joined Cofely in 2003 as a service/gas engineer and in 2008 responded to an advert for staff to train as controls engineers. During his two year apprenticeship Adam undertook a variety of tasks within Cofely’s Controls Department, ranging from large installations through to minor works, involving the full spectrum of Trend products.

The Trend Apprenticeship Scheme is one of a range of training initiatives included within Cofely’s Learning Culture Programme, which also includes other apprenticeships and a graduate development programme. Over the last five years, over 120 people have joined the company on development programmes in electrical engineering, BMS, mechanical engineering, HVAC, energy management and business management.
