Slimline range helps increase efficiency
Published:  12 March, 2010

Firebird has added its Slimline Combi SEDBUK A rated boiler to its Enviromax range. A slim tank design and pipe insulation are designed to achieve a high efficiency rating when the new European Efficiency Directive comes into force for oil fired combi boilers.

Components on the Slimline Combi have been arranged to make routine service work easier, and it also allows for multi-directional fluing which gives the installer every possible retro-fit option. It also comes with a seven pin plug to make the task of wiring to mains power and heating controls as simple as possible.

The Slimline Combi uses Firebird’s integrated heat exchanger design, where the condensing heat exchanger is incorporated into the base of the main boiler body. This ensures that the slightly acidic condensate is kept away from the main body shell, eliminating any possibility of corrosion.

The new combi uses twin pumps for the central heating and domestic hot water giving excellent reliability and reduced wear and tear. In addition, the flue can be situated on the left or right hand side of the boiler for increased versatility.
