Rehau is in control
Published:  05 October, 2009

Rehau has launched new BMS integrated Intelligent Controls for its underfloor heating and cooling systems.

For the first time in the underfloor sector, the controls are fully compatible with BMS systems in Modbus based open protocol.

Malcolm Morgan, development manager at Rehau said:  "Installers of BMS systems can now monitor and control our underfloor heating and cooling systems simply by plugging our new controller into their BMS portal.  There is no longer any requirement for complex algorithms to be programmed into bespoke BMS software for every underfloor heating installation.  Instead, Rehau's Intelligent Controls come with tested and proven software preinstalled which saves programming time and reduces risk."

The new Rehau controls use a network of masters and sensors to allow system parameters such as room temperature, outside air temperature, flow temperatures and even humidity values to be monitored and controlled via BMS.

The administrator can adjust setpoints to increase or decrease temperatures and has full control of actuator and valves throughout the underfloor heating or cooling system.
