Swiftclean gets extreme
Published:  06 July, 2009

Swiftclean has launched an extreme deep cleaning service for local authorities struggling to improve living conditions in sub-standard housing.

The new service fits with the Decent Homes programme being managed by many councils across England to improve the standard of around 50% of our existing housing stock.

Gary Nicholls, group managing director of Swiftclean, said: "This is very much a demand led service where the existing skills of our staff have been adapted to suit such extreme deep cleaning and decontamination.

"We are working alongside care in the community professionals to ensure that living conditions for the individuals in the properties are returned to a decent standard."

Teams of experienced hygiene engineers will use specialist neat steam cleaning techniques that sanitise the properties, but use a limited amount of water so that adjacent properties are not affected by the decontamination work.

Swiftclean has, for many years, been carrying out building services hygiene work for a wide range of local authorities including cleaning ventilation ductwork, disinfecting water supplies and putting legionnella control regimes in place.
