The Roadmap has four milestones: Design, Build and Install, Maintenance and Management and Go Green. Expert speakers will be covering topics relevant to the industries focused on by each of the three shows: So, facilities managers coming to Total Workplace Management can learn about their role in designing sustainable buildings, and in influencing the supply chain. Engineers and contractors at M&E will hear about the latest legislation and technology for sustainable building design. To visitors at Energy Solutions Expo, speakers will be addressing sustainability at the strategic level, looking at carbon in organisation, carbon trading, and energy management.
The seminars will feature leading experts including: Peter Snowdon, Senior Energy Advisor at Shell International; Gita Katbamna, Head of Change Management for GlaxoSmithKline Worldwide Real Estate and Harry Morrison, General Manager for The Carbon Trust Standard.
Design sessions will explain how to decide what sustainable steps are most suitable for an individual business. Build and Install will look at how to win staff buy-in for the strategies and how to put ideas into practice. Experts will also be explaining legislation such as Part L for energy efficient buildings, energy performance certificates and air conditioning checks. In Maintenance and Management visitors will hear how they can manage energy use in their buildings, and also keep the business sustainable in the long-term. The final milestone Go Green, will offer practical advice on how to carry the sustainable approach further by ‘greening' the supply chain and encourage clients to also take the sustainable approach.
