Lochinvar has earned top marks for supplying condensing water heaters for St Peter's School, York, a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged three to 18.
The school was a past customer and turned to Lochinvar again when it needed to upgrade an outdated boiler room as part of a planned programme of works. In the latest project two TurboCharger 88-380CE condensing water heaters were supplied to provide hot water for a kitchen serving the main dining hall.
The equipment was specified and installed by Connaught Gasforce Ltd.
Lochinvar's Managing Director David Pepper said: "Turbo Chargers offer all of the benefits of direct fired water heaters, but by employing the use of condensing technology, operating efficiencies are further improved and carbon emissions are reduced. These units operate on the principle of low storage, but fast recovery of hot water, giving the school kitchen a reliable and economical supply of hot water".
Such flexibility is important as the school can have high peak demands on catering services during and after meal preparation times.
