Colt International has appointed a new technical director, Paul Compton, who has worked for the company for over 25 years, establishing himself as an expert in the field of smoke control.
After several years in the sales force, Paul moved into technical support, where he developed the detailed knowledge and extensive experience which has made him a well-respected member of Colt, and the industry at large.
The committee chairman and part author of the CIBSE Guides B1 (Heating) and C (General Reference Data), Paul has also written various technical articles for trade and professional magazines. In addition, Paul sits on a number of smoke control committees, including BSI (British Standards Institute), CEN (European Committee for Standardisation) and NFPA (the National Fire Protection Association).
Paul said: "I am excited by my new position and intend to use my knowledge and skills to develop the technical capabilities of Colt over the complete range of its business activities - not just in smoke control."
